Most people renting a hot tub will rent a system for outdoor purposes. There are some manufacturing companies who will rent indoor models; however these are more difficult to install and you'll have to make sure you have enough space for the entire unit. Hot tub renters should note two things: ventilation indoors is important because of the hot tub chemicals used to clean these items. There should be either a fan or windows to help transport the steamy, scented air outside of the room.
The second thing to consider is that a tub is very heavy. It is important for the tub to meet structural requirements, especially if you want to place it indoors or on a deck. Remember, a lightweight tub filled with water is still extremely heavy.
